Today’s weight: 161.6 lbs.
I’m feeling like a champion. Last night’s dinner was AMAZING, and then this morning I got up and did it all over again. If you haven’t noticed, all of my daily meals (including snacks) get updated in something close to real time via Twitter. The feed is there on the right side of your screen, and if you’re following me on Twitter you can look up what I’ve eaten and my calorie counts since I started posting here.
Anyway, so last night I slept horribly, and I woke up this morning feeling like a bus might have run me over a few times in my sleep. I trudged into the kitchen to grab a yogurt, and then realized I’d probably die of sadness and boredom if I couldn’t just have an exciting breakfast to pep my old tired body up. So I whipped up this delicious omelet with sauteed mushrooms, asparagus, yellow bell pepper, some Roma tomato, and a slice of veggie pepper jack cheese. It turned out to be a great calorie count (372), and plenty of protein to get my day off on the right foot. I still feel a little sluggish, but a few more glasses of water and a little bit of house cleaning should fix that right up! (Don’t let my exclamation points fool you; I’m still the same old non-morning person I’ve always been.)
Around noon I’ll head out to Bikram class, and then if I’ve gotten enough work done, in the afternoon I’m going to go see Captain America at the theater down the street from my house. Yes, I plan to have popcorn, but I’m going to look up the calories online first and decide how to play this. I’m thinking a small with no butter, but maybe a little nacho seasoning? I’ll let you know what I find out.
First off, got to do a load of laundry, scrub down the kitchen and bathroom, and thoroughly clean my poor yoga mat, which I’ve neglected for the last few days. I know, that’s gross considering all of the sweating I’m doing in class. Luckily, I picked up some non-toxic spray at Whole Foods that kills germs with thyme oil and some other extracts. That way I know I’m safe leaving my mat out around the house with the cats, as well as touching it all the time. Plus, I love the earthy smell.
