Thirty Days of Origami – Day #21: Origami Lazy Susan

This little candy dish/lazy susan was pretty easy to make using these instructions. The only thing I’d do differently next time is to use a much bigger piece of paper. I used a 6″ square this time, and though it’s really cute, it’s not going to be that useful. Next time I think I’d try a slightly heavier paper in a much larger size – maybe 12″ or perhaps even larger.

Thirty Days of Origami – Day #12 (Origami Candy Dish)

I’ll make this short, since it’s after midnight and way past time for me to go to bed. Today I tried to make a stupid origami rabbit, only to screw up the same easy reverse fold on multiple attempts. Finally, in a fit of pique, I gave up and looked up another diagram. So glad I did, because this cute little candy dish was easy and definitely something I can see myself folding again for a friend. I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be getting origami presents this Yule time. Here’s the candy dish diagram if you’d like to try it yourself.
